What with the Key?

The Sun is positive. The Key is positive. The response is yes as we have a majority of positive cards … This is the kind of thoughts that can be heard everywhere. Really?

Should we really reduce such a great tool to some cards are positive, others are negative, and still others are neutral? Or do you have to ask the question in a certain way so that the positive cards correspond to a yes and the negative cards to a no? Etc., etc…

Sometimes I ask myself where we get all that stuff. Why not just read the cards, simply, and take the message they give as the answer? Simple!

Each author presents lists of cards by polarity, and obviously these lists are arbitrary and change from one author to the next. So what should we trust?

Let’s suppose the classic example of a person asking if it is going to rain, their plantations are dying because of the drought. In such a case one could well see the Sun as negative and the Cloud as positive, since the person would like to see rain coming. The opposite of all these lists!

Sometimes one wonders where common sense has gone. I have already given my opinion in the past, forget all that nonsense and just read the cards, whatever the question.

Take the case of a customer who asks you to invest in a company. You put 3 cards on the table, the Sun, the Book, the Key.

Among these 3 cards, 2 are usually seen as positive. But what is the message? Is it so positive?

If we look at the concept of each card, what do we know about the Sun? That it is a star and the earth turns around it. A great source of energy that gives us warmth and light.

What do we know about a book? That if we dive in, in addition to distracting ourselves, we will learn or discover the information contained in it. So some knowledge that is not accessible to us if the book remains closed.

And a key? An object used to open and close doors. Even symbolically, to have the key is to have some power, to have a solution to a problem.

So in this case, should the person really invest their money in this company? The Key certainly gives him the power to do it at some point. But how does he get that power?

In these 3 cards, the Key is preceded by the Sun and the Book. We can thus deduce that this combination of Sun and Book gives the Key to the consultant. The Sun, which asks to shed light on something, on this book that asks to get some information.

From all this, we can see that the consultant is certainly not ready to invest in this company at the moment. We have two supposedly positive cards, but the answer is no.

Our consultant will have to spend his energy doing some research, shedding light on certain information. And all this knowledge will give him the key. This key that will allow him to invest as one opens a door, but also to close it, so to know when to leave the game and take back his money.

Lenormand is a great tool when you go beyond banalities and simple keywords and formulas. In my classes, whether private or in a group, that’s what I try to teach. Exceeding small, ready-made formulas to arrive at understanding this magnificent tool in depth.

A series of 7 weeks of classes will begin on November 30th, they will be given in French at this time. The registration will open on Wednesday November 20th.
